Equity Residential (NYSE: EQR) today announced that the company has
closed on its previously announced acquisition of Longacre House, a
293-unit apartment tower located in Midtown Manhattan. On February 1,
2010, Equity Residential announced that it had acquired two Manhattan
apartment towers (RiverTower and 777 Sixth Avenue) and signed a contract
to acquire this third tower.
Equity Residential now owns and operates 26 properties, consisting of
7,320 apartment units, in the New York Metro Area, including 14
properties consisting of 3,825 apartment units in Manhattan.
